Que pasa familia y amigos?!
Well, this week has been very good overall. We could not teach as much
as expected, but seeing as our investigator, Ortega, had a baby this
Friday and thus he and his wife's family, the Sanchez (investigators
as well), were not at home most of the time, it's no surprise that we
did not teach as much as we wanted. Along with all that was transfers,
and I try not to use that as an excuse, but it still affects what
happens, how much work we can do just because you get a new companion
and you miss a lot of time with everything that goes on. But
considering all that happened, this week was very good. We also we
were able to teach 3 new people this week! That's very exciting for me
because teaching new people is the beginning of having more lessons,
having progressing investigators, and all other key indicators. I feel
like that's a good thing that is happening here in our area, we are
finding new people pretty regularly. Of course we have low weeks in
that too, and we need to do better still, we should have more like 5
or more new investigators every week, but it's better here than in
other areas where I have been.
This week we taught Dulce and her mother, Rosa, Brayan Sanchez
(twice), a new investigator, named Eric, another new one, named Lucy,
and a new one named Miguel. We also were able to teach Cesar
Maldonado, a less active, for the first time since I arrived. None of
the people we taught could come to church, but Roberto and Veronica
finally were able to come again! And I think they were greatly
affected by the testimonies given because they were all very good with
many people testifying that this is the Church of God and the true
Church. With the two of them, Roberto and Veronica, I'm sure they've
already received an answer, they just need help to recognize it. It's
hard because Roberto works far away and sometimes does not get home
until 8:30 and we almost never know much beforehand whether we will be
able to teach him or not. But it means we have to keep contact with
them, or at least with Roberto, and I think that has helped them to
progress even when we have not been able to teach them as much as we
would like. Them two and Ortega are the investigators that I think
about the most because they are closest to accepting baptism. I really
think that any of those three could be baptized this month. But, well,
that's what we're working on, trying our best to help them take that
step.
I love y'all and hope y'all's week is fantastic! Hasta luego!
