Hola familia y Amigos!!
Well, this week was a great week, and a super busy one! Elder Teran left on Wednesday and Elder Merrell came in. It's been a pretty hectic week with Elder Teran having to get all his stuff ready to leave and with Elder Merrel coming in and getting him settled in. But I'm really excited to have him here. If you remember I was with Elder Alcivar a while ago, well Elder Alcivar was companions with Elder Merrell when he was being trained, and I heard a lot of stories about them together. And now I'm companions with him! It's kinda funny and it's been a great few days. Elder Merrell is from Utah, but isn't a "Utah Mormon" and is a great, hard working Elder. We're going to have a great time together and I'm super excited for what we're going to be able to accomplish in this area with the blessings of our Heavenly Father.
This week we were also able to set a number of Baptismal Dates as well! We saw Andres for the first time in about a month. We taught him and set a goal with him to be prepared to be baptized by the 6 of April. Unfortunately he is really hard to get a hold of him and catch him at home, so we haven't seen him since. But we trust that if it's his time to make that covenant, God will show forth His hand and we'll be able to see Andres. We also were able to teach Max and his son, Max, and set a baptismal date with them for the 30 of March. We're super excited for these, our brethren, and I'd like to ask y'all to keep them in your prayers that they may read in the Book of Mormon, receive the answer that it is true, and progress towards baptism, if y'all could. I know that y'all've been praying for us out here and I feel the power of those prayers almost everyday.
Seriously, we're seeing many, many miracles here in our mission and even in our small little part of The Lord's Vineyard (almost literally (; ). I know that our Heavenly Father loves each and every one of us and wants to bless us. He knows us by name and He wants to hear from us. As we pray to Him we draw nearer to Him and we come to understand more of His will and how we can follow it. Prayers of Faith are soo powerful. Make every prayer meaningful, actually talk to God. That's something I'm working on; we tell investigators all the time that prayer is really simple, all you do is talk to God, but how often do we "just talk to God"? I don't do that often. But I know that as we do we become better people, we come to know God a little more and we receive the strength we need to carry out His will in our lives.
I pray for all of y'all and wish the best of blessings upon y'all! Hasta la proxima semana!!
