Hola queridos amigos y familiares!!
This week has been a good week, again! What week isn't good serving the Lord? :) We had a good week where we've been able to find/teach some new investigators. One of them is Marcos, who's the brother of Luis, a member here, but who had moved away, and just moved back about 3-4 weeks ago. Marcos has been to church two of the 3-4 Sundays he's been here and we were able to finally teach him a lesson this week. We had set an appointment with another member, Chon, and when we went over, Marcos was there. We kind of taught both of them, but towards the end Chon told us that Marcos had been thinking about being baptized!! We committed him to pray about that and ask if it's what God wants him to do. And we have an appointment with him this week. He doesn't work right now (he's looking for some) and so hopefully he'll be home when we go.
Also, we were able to finally teach 4 kids, Francisco, Roxana, Jessica, and Nadia, that we'd found earlier of about 6-13 years old. It's different teaching kids, but it can be a lot more fun, too! :) These kids have a lot of good, simple questions about God and religion and we are really looking forward to teaching them again on Tuesday.
We also left a blessing on the home of a family, Javier and Iris are the parents and we have an appointment with them tonight and we are really looking forward to teaching them. When we left the blessing Javier was a little tipsy, but when we stopped by yesterday to confirm he still wanted us back, and both he and Iris felt something with the blessing.
As far as investigators from before, we've had a little bit of a difficult time with Lupe, who has the baptismal date. He hasn't been home for appointments this week and hasn't answered the phone this week either. Except for yesterday when he told us he hasn't gotten his schedule for this week yet, so he couldn't tell us when we could set an appointment... but we'll keep trying him, maybe he's just going through a busy time right now. Also, Aldair, the 15 year-old, has had things come up for both of our appointments this past week, but same goes for him, we're not going to stop trying with him.
At church we only had Chon there, which was a little disappointing, but that was for sure not from a lack of trying and effort, so all there is to do about it is go back to people this week and see why they didn't come and try to encourage them more to come this next Sunday.
I love all y'all and love hearing from y'all. I hope y'all have a wonderful week!!!
