Hola a todos!!
Well, this week has been soo awesome! So, I have a son now, Elder
Hansen! From Clearfield, UT. He's a cool kid, and has tons of desires
and fire to go out and work hard! Of course Spanish is hard for him
being a gringo, but he has all the other important parts of being a
great missionary already. I'm super excited for this transfer. We've
already seen tons of miracles and I believe it's because of the large
amount of energy and brightly burning faith that Elder Hansen has
brought with him.
For example, his first day here we went to visit someone and they
weren't home. We had about 15 minutes so we went to knock a few
neighboring doors. The second door we knocked on a hispanic lady
opened and we asked her if we could leave a blessing in her home. She
let us in right away!! And Elder Hansen had the opportunity to invite
her to be baptized! She didn't accept fully, but she did want to learn
and understand more, and said she'd read the pamphlet!
Also on Saturday night after conference we were going to go to an ice
cream social at President Alba's house, but both of the people that
were going to come canceled and so we went out to work. While no one
we tried by was home we met a less-active that we haven't met before
because he's been in Mexico, and then also right before we had to go
home we met a family that was super cool. Elder Nicholas had the
prompting to share a video with them and so we basically had a quick
lesson with them right there and then and set up a time to come back
and have a harvest blessing with them as well! And the mom said she'd
gone to church in Mexico for like 4 years, even though she never got
baptized! I'm super excited for them!
Also, most likely the branch will be a ward before next time I write
you! I'm super excited for that as well!
Love y'all tons, gotta go!
