Hola Familia y Amigos!!
So last week I think I forgot to tell y'all some things. First off I forgot to mention that transfers would be taking place. It's ok though because nothing changed as far as Elder Debora and I go. We're both going to be together in Vacaville for the next 6 weeks! Also I forgot to mention one of the miracles for that week, that we had one of our less-actives, Eduardo, come to church that we, or at least Elder Debora and I, thought would never come to church, that we thought had completely turned away from the church based on what he told us while he was drunk when we met him. And now we're meeting with him, too! When he isn't drunk he's a pretty intelligent young guy that I think just got addicted to alcohol young, and is pretty trapped by it now. He's been trying to quite alcohol for years now, and seems like he's just got good and bad phases.
We also started teaching a young guy named Alex this past week. He's 17 and from Guatemala and only came to the USA 1 and 1/2 years ago. He has no family here, and few friends. We met him when he came to the English class a week or two ago, and were able to get to know him a little bit there. And then we decided to invite him to have some ice cream with us and talk with us, so that we could be his friends, and develop a relationship of trust, while also being able to teach him a tiny bit. It went really well. The hard part is that, like everybody else, he works a ton, so it's hard for him to find time to meet with us. But since we see him just about every Tuesday and Thursday at English class, we are able to keep in contact with him often.
Anyways, that's all that time permits. I love y'all and hope that everything is going well with work, school, play, or whatever else you find yourselves doing!
