Bueno, Bueno Familia y Amigos!
This week was pretty good! We had more lessons, especially with more
members compared to past weeks. Like I think I talked about last week,
we're working on that through having more contact with investigators
so that the appointments we have with them are more fixed so we can
invite more members with us. So that's why we were able to have more
lessons I think, and we were not even as diligent as we wanted to be
in contact with the investigators. So I have high hopes that more
diligently implementing that can help us to continue having more
lessons, and more members with us, help them keep more commitments,
and help them feel our love for them more. It's hard to remember to
call them or go visit them, or do what we have to do to have that contact
some days. But I'm sure as we do that more, we will have more success
too. We have been trying to contact more people as well. I personally
have been trying to focus on contacting everyone I can and not focus
on the "20" we "have" to contact as much. I know we need to contact
20, but I want to focus more on each individual. It has been a little
difficult for me to contact people in this area because we have so
many people to visit it's more difficult than in Napa, when we could
say ¨ we haven't contacted the 20, we'll just knock or contact because
we don't have someone to visit ¨ . Here we can't do that as much
because we have more investigators here and we always have people
visit. But I'm learning how to contact people and visit people at the
same time.
This week we also had a "half-mission conference" or a conference with
half of the mission present, with Elder Falabella, a Seventy, I
learned a lot from the conference with Elder Falabella. Elder Payne
and I felt it was direct revelation to us lots that he told us. One
thing in particular was he told us we should teach not only
people/individuals but to all who are in the family or household. We
have some great families that we are teaching one or two people in the
family and although we make some effort to teach the whole family we
do not focus on that. So we're going to focus a lot on that.
Everything else he taught us I felt like really were for me and our
area at this time. I really enjoyed having Elder Falabella here.
I don't have any more time, but I love y'all and hope y'all have a great week!
