Hola Familia y Amigos!!
This week's definitely been better than last week; we've had some great lessons with a number of new investigators, and we had the best Sacrament attendance since we've been here (granted none were investigators, but there were a few less-actives). But I'm kind-of sad because Juan, the investigator I thought was progressing the most, or was farthest along, canceled multiple times this week, whereas before we would never have counted on him canceling. I really hope he's just busy, or he just needed a break this week, or something else relatively benign, but I fear sometimes that he's got someone telling him not to meet with us, or that he feels like we're pushing too much, or something that might deter him from continuing to meet with us. That being said though, about all we can do is keep praying for him, try to keep in contact, and hope that we can meet with him when we have an appointment and be able to resolve concerns then.
Otherwise though, we had a better week as far as lessons go; we taught Amelia, who we have taught a few times already, and invited her to be baptized (soft commitment) and she accepted. She really likes learning with us, she just works on Sunday (and a lot throughout the week) and so cannot come to Church. We also taught 4 new investigators, one of which we found from English Class, one who's the son of a less-active here, and the other two are friends of Elder Debora's from Mexico City who we've taught over Skype! I think the two Skype lessons were the highlights of the week, even though I wasn't there for one of them. The one I was there for though, the investigator, Ingrid, was SUPER prepared. She's got a friend who's LDS who's told her about a lot and has told her to read the Book of Mormon, but she hasn't met with the missionaries (we're not sure why). It turns out that she's read all the way to Alma somewhere! She is awesome, and understood and liked the lesson we had a lot. I'm super excited for the wonderful new opportunities that technology bring us!
I don't have a bunch of time this week because we're at a member's house doing e-mails (the library's closed today and there's not enough computers in the Family History Center for all the missionaries) and my laptop is about to die, so I love y'all and hope it's going well!
