I'm gonna depart from the daily schedule thing because this week was pretty different with transfers and stuff. So on Wed. Elder Perez and Elder Martin came (to recap: Elder Perez is my new companion and Elder Martin is Elder Fonseca's companion). I'm so excited to serve with and around these Elders this transfer or more. Elder Martin has great Spanish (at least from my point of view) and Elder Perez is from Mexico, so my Spanish is bound to get better quickly!! Anyways, I've absolutely loved serving with Elder Perez so far, I'm going to so much from him. He's the district leader and my follow up trainer (or in mission speak: my mom) and he's just a super cool, super good missionary (again, from my point of view, which may or may not be skewed...). So last week (the week my last e-mail covered) we found two teenage girls, Angerie and Johana that are less actives from Honduras that were baptized about 4 years ago and haven't been to church in a few years. We met with them once this week to teach them the Restoration, and we're planning on continuing to teach them the Recent Convert lessons (the same lessons as for investigators, just over again). We got to teach them in the Rios' home which was good for them and the Rios I think. We also taught a young couple on Tuesday named Mary and Pablo and then came back and taught them on Thursday again. They're super sweet and hopefully we can continue to have multiple lessons a week with them. We're going back to see them tonight, and I'm super excited!
I think those are the highlights of the week up until Sunday where I have to recount what happened as follows:
So Sunday morning we got up, and started getting ready when we get a call at about 7 from Antonio! He was calling to tell us that he wanted to go to church, but would have to take the bus up, and wanted to know when church started so that he could catch the right bus to get there on time. And he came!!!!!!! And not only did he come, but the two girls, the Rios, and another less-active, Luis came to church!!!! It was the happiest day of my mission so far! It was soo awesome to have Antonio call us up, even though we hadn't even seen him that week, and come to church. It was completely and fully a miracle from Heavenly Father. But even more than that the fact that all those less-actives came was such a huge miracle. I've been wanting even just one person for so long now, and then all these people come. Now we need to capitalize on all that miracle and just keep it going with those people.
I don't have much more time right now, but I love y'all and love everything I hear about from every one of you, so keep it coming!
